50 BRAC University students selected for Millennium Fellowship
For the fourth consecutive year, 50 students from BRAC University have been selected for the Millennium Fellowship 2025, a global leadership program that empowers undergraduates to implement social impact projects advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) principles.
This is the largest cohort from BRAC University since the university first joined the fellowship in 2021 with 14 students. The programme - run by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN - selects only 4 percent of campuses globally each year.
An event celebrating the selected fellows was held on 15 October 2025 at BRAC University's Merul Badda campus, organised by the Social Impact Lab under the School of General Education. The Lab will mentor the fellows in designing scalable, community-driven initiatives to drive measurable impact.
This year's projects focus on climate resilience, digital empowerment, menstrual and reproductive health, breast cancer awareness, equitable education, sustainable agriculture, and civic participation, contributing to multiple SDGs including 3 (Good Health), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality) and 13 (Climate Action).
