Team Tech Wing has been selected to represent Bangladesh at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025

Tech Wing, a student team from the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), has won the "Business Services" (Student Division) Award at the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2025 for their groundbreaking project "Hybrid Fraud Shield."

The winning team - comprising Kiyas Mahmud, Md. Maruf Hossain Munna, and Syeda Shakira Akter from the Department of Computer Science - was recognised at a ceremony held at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). The event celebrated outstanding technological innovations and visionary projects from across the country.

Supervised by Prof. Dr. Afroza Nahar and Nuzhat Tabassum, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Hybrid Fraud Shield leverages Artificial Intelligence to detect and prevent online financial fraud in real time. The system aims to enhance transaction security and build greater public trust in digital payments — a timely contribution to Bangladesh's rapidly expanding digital economy.

Following their national success, Team Tech Wing has been selected to represent Bangladesh at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025, which will be held from December 4–8, 2025. Their participation will bring Bangladeshi innovation to the global stage, highlighting the talent and potential of the country's young tech community.
