Bangladeshi Sajib completes Ironman 70.3 Langkawi

Now aiming for a Full Ironman, Sajib hopes to inspire more professionals to stay active.

Balancing a full-time career in Bangladesh's denim industry with the rigours of endurance sports, Md. Sajib has achieved what few corporate professionals dare to attempt - finishing the Ironman 70.3 Langkawi in Malaysia.

The triathlon, one of the world's toughest, involves a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and 21.1 km run. Sajib, who leads Product Development & Technical at Denim Solutions Ltd., representing DyStar, trained for months while managing a demanding work schedule.

"It might not be extraordinary for the world, but for me - a full-time professional with limited time to train - it meant everything," he said. "Crossing that finish line was a year of sacrifices and belief coming together."

His fitness journey began with casual runs and mountain treks across India and Nepal, including Mardi Himal and Pin Parvati Pass, which built his endurance and mindset.

Sajib started his career as an R&D Executive at Ananta Denim Technology Ltd., later leading R&D at Square Denims Ltd. before joining Denim Solutions. He credits his wife Shithi as his biggest supporter.

"Having a partner who believes in your dream makes all the difference," he shared.

Now aiming for a Full Ironman, Sajib hopes to inspire more professionals to stay active. "You can work full-time and still chase finish lines," he says. "All it takes is belief and balance."
