BRAC Kumon opens new center at Baridhara DOHS
BRAC Kumon Limited has inaugurated a new center at Baridhara DOHS, marking another milestone in its mission to make self-learning accessible to more children in Bangladesh.
Kumon - the Japanese learning method and the world's largest after-school education program - operates in more than 60+ countries and regions, empowering over four million students worldwide to learn independently and confidently.
Through BRAC's partnership, this trusted self-learning approach reached Bangladesh in 2017 and has since helped over 10,000 students across 32 centers in Dhaka and Chattogram build confidence, independence, and a love for lifelong learning.
Through the new Baridhara DOHS center, BRAC Kumon continues to help children strengthen their foundation in Math and English while developing essential traits such as discipline, critical thinking, and perseverance — the hallmarks of the Kumon Method.
Nasreen Ahmed, Instructor of the Kumon Baridhara DOHS Center, shared, "I envision a center where children learn with joy and grow with confidence. My goal is to see the highest number of Kumon completers emerge from this center."
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Educationist Mrs. Nasreen Mashkura Rokon, Founder & Principal of Angels' Garden Pre-School and Day Care; Md. Ibne Nayeem Hasan, FCA, DGM–Finance & Accounts, BRAC Aarong; and Ms. Sakerina Khaled, Creative Director and Entrepreneur, along with representatives from BRAC Kumon Limited, local educators, and parents. Guests experienced Kumon's globally trusted approach to individualized learning — designed to help every child progress at their own pace, often beyond school grade level.
