BRAC Kumon opens new centre in Uttara Sector 7
BRAC Kumon Limited has opened a new centre in Uttara Sector 7. The expansion supports its goal of making the Kumon Method accessible to more children across Bangladesh.
Kumon is a Japanese self-learning method and the world's largest after-school education programme. It operates in more than 60 countries and regions and serves over four million students. BRAC introduced Kumon in Bangladesh in 2017. Since then, more than 10,000 students in Dhaka and Chattogram have enrolled across 32 centres.
With the launch of the new centre, BRAC Kumon aims to help children strengthen their skills in maths and English. The method also encourages critical thinking, adaptability and independent learning.
Bousra Jahan Lia, Instructor of the Uttara Sector 7 Centre, said her goal is to help children develop discipline, time management, problem-solving, confidence and gratitude. She said every child can grow with proper guidance.
Representatives from BRAC Kumon Limited attended the inauguration. Guests included Md Sahariar Hasan Jiisun of a2i; Mazharul Islam, Lecturer of Physics at Milestone College; and Md Tajdin Hasan, Chief Business Officer of The Daily Star.
