Honda Futsal League 2025 inaugurated in Dhaka
Bangladesh Honda Private Limited inaugurated the Honda Futsal League 2025 on November 19, 2025, at Carnival Hall of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center.
The opening session featured a message from Moto Honda da Amazônia and a Brazil national team jersey signed by Neymar Jr, says a press release.
The organisers revealed the logos of the 32 participating teams and announced the tournament. This year's programme focused on three themes of the Honda Sports Challenge: Joy, Growth and Connected. The event was designed to inspire young people through football.
Jamal Bhuiyan, Captain of the Bangladesh national football team, attended as the chief guest. He received the Neymar Jr. jersey from Susumu Morisawa, Managing Director and CEO, and Shah Muhammad Ashequr Rahman, Chief Marketing Officer of Bangladesh Honda Private Limited. Moto Honda da Amazônia representatives joined online to greet guests and supporters.
Bangladesh Honda says the initiative reflects the renewed interest in football. The organisers hope the jersey presentation will motivate young players.
The ceremony was attended by dealers, university representatives, club members, journalists, officials and football enthusiasts.
Speaking at the event, Captain Jamal Bhuiyan said, "I am truly delighted to be part of this vibrant and grand program, and I am deeply honored to receive this special token of love from Brazil—a jersey autographed by the world-renowned football icon Neymar Jr. Such an initiative is not only a significant step forward for football in Bangladesh but also an inspiring effort that will positively influence and motivate the youth of our country."

Bangladesh Honda says its goal is to inspire youth through sports while continuing to strengthen its motorcycle business and customer support.
