BNP leader ASM Hannan Shah yesterday said the party with the masses will take to the streets demanding a stop to the coal-based Rampal power plant that will ruin the Sundarbans.

Hannan was addressing a discussion Jatiyatabadi Projonmo 71 held at Dhaka Reporters Unity, marking the pro-BNP platform's founding anniversary.

On the move to revoke the Swadhinata Padak given to party's founder Ziaur Rahman, Hannan said the ruling Awami League did not like him as he “had established democracy” in the country.
