Bangladesh dropped to joint-seventh position on the updated World Test Championship standings following their 192-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the second Test in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Mehedi Hasan Miraz was stranded at 81 as Bangladesh lost their last three wickets in around 75 minutes of play on the final day of Chattogram Test, which Sri Lanka won by 192 runs to clinch the two-match series 2-0.

The 32-year-old said he was skipping the tournament in the United States and the West Indies to make sure he could be a fully-fledged all-rounder in Test cricket.
