According to Jahid Preetom, he wrote the story based on a real criminal event that took place in Bangladesh. The director explains that he has attempted to depict a single incident from multiple perspectives — what he refers to as the “Rashomon effect”. “The story is indeed told from several viewpoints, but the conclusion rests entirely with the audience. They are the true judges here,” he said.
