How rational are admission test questions in our universities?

Each year when the admission test result of Dhaka University is published, there is a hue and cry about the poor quality of secondary education in the country—the reason being lower pass rates in the admission tests. But if the quality of education at the secondary level was so poor, then a lot of seats would have been vacant in public universities or medical colleges. Whereas in reality, no seats are vacant.

A society devoid of moral and ethical values cannot continue as an effective society as society is built on reciprocal cooperation and mutual understanding of people.

Public Examinations / How can the results be equitable?

If we would like to compare apples with oranges, we need to consider their individual characteristics because the two are different in nature. Marks and grades do not bear the same meaning.

MCQ and the Creative Question system

The student who will have the skill to analyse all the information of the text will be able to pick the fourth option as the correct answer. So, it is unwise to say that students don't learn anything from MCQs and is easy to get higher marks.
