Gold prices increase by Tk 2,403

Gold prices have increased in the local market, with the rate for pure gold now standing at Tk 2.10 lakh per bhori.

The new rate, reflecting an increase of Tk 2,403 per bhori (11.664 grammes), is set to come into effect from tomorrow, said the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) in a press release today.

On November 20, the price of gold per bhori was Tk 2.08 lakh.

Gold prices had surged to a historic peak of Tk 217,381 per bhori on October 19.
