Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation, Rosatom, has announced the return of its Global Atomic Quiz, set to take place online on November 10, coinciding with World Science Day.

The quiz will be available online in 16 languages, including Bangla, ensuring wide participation and accessibility, according to a press release.

Now in its sixth year, the quiz invites science enthusiasts from around the world to test their knowledge of nuclear science and technology while competing for exciting prizes including the grand prize of a trip to Russia.

In addition to the global online format, offline events will be held in several countries, including Bangladesh. The local sessions will take place at the Information Centre on Nuclear Energy (ICONE) at the Novo Theatre in Dhaka and the Public Information Centre on Nuclear Energy (PIC) in Ishwardi, with participation from university students.

Participants will have 24 hours to complete 18 questions across three categories - History, Today's Technology, and The Future. Registration will open on November 10 at quiz.atomforyou.com, where participants can also access practice tests in advance.

Winners will be announced on November 22, with 100 participants receiving exclusive prizes and three global winners earning the opportunity to visit Russia. Every participant will receive an e-certificate for participation.

Launched in 2020, the Global Atomic Quiz has become a flagship science education initiative, engaging more than 65,000 participants from over 100 countries. It aims to promote understanding of peaceful nuclear energy and inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, and engineering.

Through its 25 international information centres, Rosatom continues to lead educational outreach efforts, highlighting how nuclear science contributes to sustainable development, energy innovation, and the preservation of our planet.
