Bangladesh received more good news a day after their win over India at home in the Asian Cup Qualifiers, climbing three places in the latest FIFA World Rankings revealed on Wednesday evening.

Sheikh Morsalin ended Bangladesh’s long wait for a victory against India with an 11th-minute strike, as the hosts secured their first win of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers campaign with a 1-0 triumph at the National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Bangladesh will take the field against India today with notable changes in the midfield, as Shamit Shome has been included alongside Sheikh Morsalin while Jamal Bhuyan and Sohel Rana Jr sit out.

With fans swept up in full-fledged Hamzamania, the Leicester City midfielder, ever cheerful in his jolly demeanour, greeted supporters with smiles, posed for selfies, and even signed a hand-drawn sketch of himself offered by a young fan.
