Indian International Master (IM) Aryan Varshney finished ahead of IM Fahad Rahman, IM Manon Reja Neer, and FIDE Master (FM) Tahsin Tajwar Zia to secure a Grandmaster norm at the Leonine 3rd GM Chess Tournament, which concluded at the Leonine Chess Club in Dhanmondi on Monday.

Bangladesh’s 14-year-old International Master (IM) Manon Reja Neer defeated two Grandmasters in the World Rapid Chess Championship taking place in New York.

Neer not only claimed the national chess championship but also became the country’s youngest International Master.
