Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has won the toss and elected to bat first against Ireland in the third and final match of the T20I series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Friday.

Batter Soumya Sarkar and pacer Shoriful Islam made their way back to the Bangladesh T20 World Cup squad as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) submitted the final 15-member squad today, ahead of the October 14 cut-off date for any final changes.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board's desire to reform and start afresh in the T20 format appears to have taken a backseat, with disaster management more of a concern ahead of this month's T20 Asia Cup as the national team's injury list continues to grow.

Bangladesh paceman Taskin Ahmed left for England today to get an assessment of the back injury he incurred during the series against South Africa. Taskin’s injury saw him sit out of the second Test in South Africa and he was subsequently ruled out for the upcoming Test series at home against Sri Lanka, slated to begin with the first Test at Chattogram from May 15.
