Musician Jahid Nirob announces marriage from Mecca

Music director and singer Jahid Nirob has tied the knot. He is now married to Suchona Tasnim, a long-time friend and confidante.

"Please pray for us," said the award-winning musician to The Daily Star, over the phone. "We have been friends for 11 years, and she is the first girl I've ever really confided in," he says. The couple tied the knot on October 23, and left for Umrah the day after. 

Best known as a former member of Chirkutt and now renowned music director, Jahid Nirob has more than 400 OVCs and television commercials to his credit. He has recently won the Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards for Best Background Score.

Industry stars, including Ashfaque Nipun Raihan Rafi and Kajal Arefin Ome have congratulated the young musician for his next phase in life.
