‘Delupi’ team to donate producer’s share to Korail slum fire victims
A devastating fire on November 25 destroyed more than a thousand homes in the Korail slum of Mohakhali, Dhaka. It took over five hours and the effort of 19 Fire Service units to bring the blaze under control, leaving many families without shelter.
In response, the "Delupi" team has announced that on December 2, the producer's share of ticket sales from all "Delupi" shows across the country will be donated to support the residents of Korail. The team noted that while this contribution cannot compensate for the community's irreplaceable losses, it is a gesture of solidarity with those affected.
"Delupi" is currently running in nine screenings across five cinemas nationwide. The team has also urged the public to stand with the Korail community during this crisis.
