The makers of "The Devil Wears Prada 2" have unveiled the first teaser of the much-anticipated sequel. The less-than-one-minute clip was released on the official YouTube channel of 20th Century Studios.

The teaser opens with Meryl Streep's iconic character, Miranda Priestly, striding toward her office lift as the newsroom buzzes around her. Just as the lift doors begin to close, Anne Hathaway's Andrea "Andy" Sachs steps in, smiling and greeting her with a soft, "Miranda." In a rare gesture for the notoriously stern editor, Miranda shifts slightly to make space before replying, "Took you long enough." The clip ends with Andy slipping on her sunglasses as the lift doors close.

Fans have expressed excitement online over seeing Streep and Hathaway reunite on screen after two decades. Anne Hathaway also shared the teaser on Instagram, writing, "It's everyone's birthday. #43 #DWP2," coinciding with her 43rd birthday. Social media reactions have praised the teaser's tone, with viewers calling it "gorgeous," "chef's kiss," and a perfect setup for the sequel.

"The Devil Wears Prada 2", featuring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, is slated for release on May 1, 2026. Shooting began in June this year. The original 2006 film, adapted from Lauren Weisberger's novel and directed by David Frankel, starred the same lead cast. Frankel returns to direct the sequel.

The upcoming film also features Lady Gaga, Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B J Novak, Pauline Chalamet, and Simone Ashley. The project is produced by Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt, with Aline Brosh McKenna penning the script.
