Actor Richi Solaiman, long celebrated for her work on television, is set to make her silver-screen debut after nearly three decades in the industry. She will star opposite Imtiaz Barshon in "Robi in Dhaka", a film that explores the frustrations of Gen Z and their search for emotional recovery.

The film is directed by Rajib Saleheen and produced by Sajgoj. Shooting is expected to begin later this month.

Speaking about the project, Barshon said: "The film explores how people continue to seek the strength to survive despite despair, mental pressure and personal crises. The way this message of resilience has been portrayed felt truly compelling to me."

Richi had earlier declined to share details, telling the media she wanted to keep the project "a surprise." "Robi in Dhaka" also features Azad Abul Kalam, Arman Parvez Murad and several others.

The film is scheduled for release next year.
