A total of 106 players have been roped in by 12 First Division teams as the players' transfer window concluded on Thursday, with eight of the 20 First Division clubs -- who had sent a letter of protest to the BCB CEO -- missing from the process.

While the BCB had given clubs strict conditions that failure to participate in the league would result in disqualification and relegation of the defaulting teams, the crisis is yet to be resolved.

Chairman of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM), Adnan Rahman Dipon, said in a TV interview that he was confident all the clubs would eventually participate.

"The board president [Aminul Islam Bulbul] and vice president, Faruque Ahmed, are talking to the clubs, and I am confident that 20 teams will play," he said during the interview.

The CCDM has informed that over 80 players have picked up tokens, and if any of the eight clubs return, those players will have the opportunity to play in the league. For now, however, they remain on the lookout for openings in the 12 clubs that took part in the transfer process.

The First Division League is scheduled to start on November 18.
